24 Apr 2010 Wellington Power Cut foils Hutt Heat
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre closed its doors on Thursday night because of the black out in Wellington.  Apparently the 60 minute power cut rendered the pool too cold to open and dropped the water quality below safety requirement levels.

Hutt Heat was looking forward to the games scheduled at WRAC hosted by the Harbour City Club.

We are waiting to hear back on when the games will be rescheduled at Kilbirnie.
24 Apr 2010 Hutt?s Heat too Hot for Maranui
The Hutt Heat teams travelled into the big smoke last Wednesday night to go face to face with big city rivals, Maranui.

The Women got off to a hot start leading by 8 ? 5 at the half. A resilient Maranui clawed itself back into the game to level at 11 a piece with 1.49 to go in the fourth.  With 1.16 to go, Coach, Chris Radmonovich called a time out which resulted in Sialei Anamani pounding home the winning goal.

Keri James and Sialei spearheaded the Hutt attack with 3 goals each with Haley Duffy, Brydie Pye and Kate Enoka chipping in with two each.

The Men?s match was fast and furious - riddled with 34 major fouls.

At the half it was even at 4 all.  Maranui gained a slight edge in the 3rd quarter 7 ? 6.  The fourth quarter was torrid but Maranui could not quell the Hutt?s Heat with Eamon Lui firing home the winning goal with 25 seconds to go.

Adam Pye fired in 5 goals with Clint McLaughlin shooting in 3.

Final Scores:
Hutt Heat Women 11; Maranui 10
Hutt Heat Men 11; Maranui Men 10
