Under 20 Men's National Championships in ChristchurchTop of Page
  10 Aug 2001, 11:28amitem # 41

The Hutt U20 Men's team, ably led by Josh Keenan, was very competitive in Christchurch and improved from game to game.

Glenn Benge commented that he was impressed with the attitude of the boys in their application within the game, their behaviour out of the pool and their obvious respect for each other as individuals and as a team unit.

A big thank you goes to coach, Chris Pennell for his commitment and creating a productive team environment.

Josh Keenan deservedly earned our team Player of the Tournament with Mark Rumble and Sam Keenan jointly earning the Most Improved Players. Goalie, Chris Naylor, was competitive against opposition 3 or 4 years older than himself.

Overall, the trip was a great success for the boys who have made significant strides forward this year.

The Team was :
Josh Keenan
Eddie Paul
Liam Shanahan
Sam Gruschow
Steve Paul
Graeme Sharman
Sam Keenan
Matt Dolden
Hamish Pepper
Mark Rumble
Nick Maarhuis
Chris Naylor
Kieran Davies

  20 May 2001, 11:31amitem # 42

For those who don't know, prominent club member Mark Willis was involved in a serious motorbike accident some weeks ago.

Mark spent about a week in hospital and has come out with a few extra bits of metal in his arms.

On behalf of Hutt Club Mark, we wish you a speedy recovery and all the best in your attempts to regain full fitness in order to secure another contract with the Coelacanths.
