||Mudcrabs roasted by Heat
Hutt turned the heat on in full in the local derby in Saturday night?s National Mens Water Polo League in Wellington when they burnt Maranui's chances of grabbing 4th spot with a 9-7 victory at the WRAC.

||Hutt Heat Turned up on Magic
The Hutt Heat turned up to play against Marist Magic in the first of tonight?s National Water Polo league matches at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre.
Marist oldest player, centre forward Kevin Schluter, scored the first of this three goals just 50 seconds into the match but Hutt levelling in the very next attack. The next goal didn?t come until 7 seconds remained in the quarter with Marist taking a one goal advantage.
The second quarter was identical to the first in terms of scoring and Marist, who may have been expecting a somewhat easier game were only looking at a two goal buffer at 4-2.
The magic started working for Marist as they scored two unanswered goals and at 6-2, they were looking good. But the fire was stoked in the young team who clawed both of those goals back to tie the third quarter and trail 6-4.
The experience and strength of Marist proved too much though with another 2-1 quarter going the way of Marist to conjure up an 8-5 victory. Hutt heat earned themselves a valuable point.
Coach Liz Burman was particularly pleased with her Hutt Heat's team sold performance.
Hutt Heat 5 (E Lui 2, P Morrison, J Campbell, B Pye)
Marist Magic 8 (K Schluter 3, P Swindells 2, A Stockdale, O Adam, J Venter)
